Assessment and certification

Candidates are assessed with two written and one practical examination. They are required to pass all three units within five years.

A unit certificate is issued denoting achievement of each unit, and an award parchment is issued on completion of the three units.

Recommended study time for this NEBOSH course is 162 hours.

Exams take place at multiple locations in the UK and South Africa. For students in other countries, it may be possible to sit exams at a British Council Office.

The E-learning programme is extremely flexible and has been designed to work around your busy schedule.

Employees will receive course materials in the form of PDFs, which can be read online or downloaded for offline study.

Course materials are provided in audiobook form too, so you can listen to the content online.. They can also be downloaded to listen to later. This is supported by a wealth of interactive material, including revision activities and video summaries.

We offer all students dedicated support to prepare for NEBOSH exams. As part of your course, you will be issued with a Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA) to complete for each exam you sit. Your completed TMA(s) will be marked by your tutor in the same way an exam is marked by an examiner. This includes detailed feedback and support given around subject knowledge, application and exam technique. Our tutors will help you to prepare effectively, so that you have the best chance of getting great exam results first time round.

• One written exam (Unit 1 or Unit 2): £99.00.
• Two written exams sat on the same day (Unit 1 and 2): £145.00.
• One practical exam (Unit 3): £50.00.
